FC Barcelona and the player Fridolina Rolfö have reached an agreement for the termination of her contract with the Club
The Club wishes to publicly thank Fridolina for her professionalism, commitment, dedication and her positive and close relationship with all elements of the blaugrana family, and wishes her all the best for the future.
Four years at Barça
The Swedish international ends a brilliant four-year spell as a blaugrana. Signed in the summer of 2021 from German club Wolfsburg, Rolfö arrived at Barça to become the team’s first ever player from Sweden and settled in perfectly to life at the Club both on and off the field, quickly becoming a favourite of the fans.
Signed as a winger, excelled as a full back
Rolfö arrived as one of the best wingers in European Football but soon adapted to a position at left back where she played most of her football for Barça, with spectacular results.
13 trophies and a key goal in the Champions League
Rolfö was a vital figure in the team’s recent success and leaves Barça having won 13 trophies (4 league titles, 3 Copas de la Reina, 4 Spanish Super Cups and 2 Champions Leagues) and she will always be remembered for scoring the winner in the 2023 Champions Leaue final against Wolfsburg.
During her spell at Barça Fridolina Rolfö also had to overcome a serious knee injury but still made 129 appearances for the team, scoring 38 goals and creating 37 assists thanks to her top class left foot.
